The Recovering Liberal is the evolution of a series of ravings that journalist and documentary filmmaker Denis Donovan created for another news site from 2001 through March 2004.

A lifelong democrat, Mr. Donovan has fond memories of growing up at the local democratic club in Brooklyn New York, where his mother was an elected official for over 20 years.

Now based on the west coast, Mr. Donovan’s philosophy has evolved from straight club house liberal Democratic politics to his current perspective which embraces the better aspects of the entire political spectrum. Hence the web sites title.

Joining Mr. Donovan on the web sites editorial board as East Coast Editor is New York journalist, activist and raconteur, Henry A. Honig. In addition to his editorial duties, Mr. Honig will serve as the websites PUNDIT IN RESIDENCE.

His experience and passion have made his ‘That’s Just My Opinion” column’s a staple of web journalism since 1999.
