OUR TRANSLATION: “PLEASE BEFORE ALL IS LOST. SEND BODIES, CASH AND LAWYERS, CRANK UP THE TV TRANSMITTERS AND THE CON ARTIST PREACHERS IN THE THREE THOUSAND DOLLAR SUITS. HAVE THEM SPREAD THE WORD THAT ‘THE DEMOCRATS ARE OUT TO DESTROY JESUS, AGAIN’”.

Earlier today, George W. Bush, First Decider, did as all nutty, prayer book enabled, right-wing wacko polbots do when they find themselves ass-deep in situations beyond their ability to resolve, he invoked the name of the Lord.

Now, the Prez has done this many times before, so this, by itself, is nothing to get worked up about. After all, many seemingly normal people, from all religions and walks of life, claim to have one-on-one conversation’s with all manner of religious icons. So this is not too extraordinary behavior from the man who has gone on record as believeing that he was God’s hand picked candidate to lead the United States in her time of trouble.

What made today’s invocation so special wqas that it was spectacular.

Today, George admitted sans reservation or doubt, (in fact the jerk was arrogant, which in my catechism days was not considered very Christian,) that he had started to sense a “Third Awakening” of Christian Religious Fervor in the United States.

This “Awakening”, as George told an audience of Christian journalists, happens to “coincide with the nation’s struggle with international terrorists”, a war that he depicted for the fundie press as “a confrontation between good and evil.”

Now what exactly does this mean? Is it that George is sensing that average Americans are “Awakening” from a complacent slumber and running in panic back to their religion because of what they see that America has become?

Think about that for a moment.

Granted, the Republicans are in a spot of difficulty right now. America has caught on to them and their evil, immoral and irresponsible style of bankrupting our country from within.

From our current vantage point, 5-6 weeks out from the mid-term elections;
It appears that GOP incumbents will loose at least one House of Congress, perhaps both.

Is it possible that what Dubya senses is that he and his party have angered the core of America, that John and Jane Paycheck have lost all faith in them, for their obvious inability to win the War in Iraq, let alone the War on Terror?

Or is George’s “Awakening” a coded SOS to his one-time buddies in the Christian Right. Could what he really be saying is, “Send bodies, cash and lawyers before all is lost. Crank up the TV transmitters and the con artist preachers in the three thousand dollar suits. Have them spread the word that ‘the Democrats are out to destroy Jesus, again’, or we will all be in a world of hurt”?

Now, this is what I think George’s sensing of an Awakening is all about. Of course, it could all be superstitious nonsense from one obviously deranged American President, as he looses what little grip he has on reality, too.
