The late 1980s President George H.W. Bush leads the country in the savings and loan meltdown
2008
President George W. Bush leads the country in the greatest financial meltdown since the great depression of Republican President Herbert Hoover in 1929.
And, oh yes, John McCain was the cheerleader for both Bushes and Reagan.

I may be paranoid, but after watching Raeagan and the two Bushes suck the blood out of this country, who can blame me? I fear that Obama and the Dems are being set up in the following manner.
When Herbert Hoover came into office in March, 1929, the economy had already been destroyed by the previous eight years of Republican rule. Eight months into his term, in October, the great meltdown began. It lasted for the rest of his term–three years and four months until FDR came in. Thus the Great Depression was forever known as the Hoover Depression. Assuming Obama is elected, and the economy continues to deteriorate, conditions are such that we may not fully recover for the length of his term. Although neither he nor the Dems will have been responsible for the situation, the American public usually sees only what’s in front of them at the time. This could then be termed the Obama Depression, recession, or whatever and the Republicans come back into office to continue their systematic destruction of America.

Sorry, but you have your ‘facts’ wrong. Clinton created the financial mess along with the Dems. Do your homework and stop spewing trash.
